The Minister of Finance meets with the Assistant Undersecretary for Economic Affairs at the Qatari Ministry of Finance

Dr. Jibril Ibrahim, Minister of Finance and Economic Planning, met today with Mr. Saud bin Abdullah Al-Attiyah, Assistant Undersecretary for Economic Affairs at the Qatari Ministry of Finance, on the sidelines of the preparatory meetings of the Economic and Social Council of the Council of the League of Arab States at the level of the thirty-third Arab Summit, which is hosted by the Kingdom of Bahrain.
During the meeting, comprehensive enlightenment was provided on the current situation in Sudan and the effects of the war on the economy, as both sides stressed the importance of strengthening fraternal relations and exploring new ways of trade cooperation in vital areas such as minerals, agriculture, and infrastructure development. In this context, the Qatari side announced that it will host an economic forum next week, where investment in Sudan will be presented on the meeting’s agenda.
The meeting concluded by exchanging wishes for peace and recovery for the Sudanese people, while emphasizing the importance of joint work and continued support to ensure the return of stability and economic growth in Sudan.
The meeting represents an important step in the process of cooperation between Sudan and Qatar, and opens new horizons for fruitful cooperation that contributes to achieving prosperity and sustainable development for the Sudanese people.
